Originating from the ancient Shaolin Dragon Fist, this form can be practiced as fixed steps or continuous movements. Its steps move in a seamless chain, with the body resembling a wandering dragon. This is key training for the agility of footwork in Long Fist.

Mai Fu Quan consists of the Mai Fu stance and the Mai Fu fist techniques. It cultivates the skill of concealing the body while striking from a distance, making it a very important offensive and defensive application in the ancient Long Fist system.

The development of Chángquán's structural power emphasizes the precision of the form and the training of both storing and releasing force. This practice not only aligns the vertebrae and joints of the body but also enhances the ability to effectively transmit force from the ground, ensuring a seamless flow of power.

Tan Tui is the most essential foundational form in the Northern Shaolin Chángquán system. The training is divided into three stages: Kāimén Tán Tuǐ , Gōnglì Tán Tuǐ, and Huóchuàn Tán Tuǐ. It’s the essential material for building a strong foundation, but also as the key to unlocking applications.
